Duracell is expanding into the UK electric vehicle (EV) market with the launch of a nationwide ultra-rapid charging network, aiming to support the growing shift towards electric mobility. With a planned investment of over £200 million, the new Duracell E-Charge hubs will offer charging speeds of up to 1,000kW, providing unprecedented convenience for EV drivers.

Reliable partnership for EV infrastructure
Duracell is collaborating with The EV Network (EVN) to fund and develop the sites, with day-to-day operations managed by Elektra Charge, a newly formed charge point operator. This combination brings together Duracell’s reputation for reliability with EVN’s experience in delivering large-scale charging hubs.
